ROLE DESCRIPTIONJon Jones State Farm (North Alpharetta) is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a Receptionist & Administrative Assistant. This multifaceted role combines front-desk receptionist duties with personal administrative support to the agency principal, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective management of appointments, reporting, and compliance.This position is ideal for someone looking for family-friendly hours, with typical workdays from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, allowing you to work while your children are at school. A lunch break is included during these hours.Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as the first point of contact by warmly greeting customers in person and over the phone, and directing them to appropriate team members.
  • Manage the principal’s calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings, and coordinating logistics to optimize time and priorities.
  • Handle office communications including phone calls, emails, and correspondence efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain and update customer records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with compliance monitoring, including regular checks and documentation to support regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and compile reports as needed to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Engage with prospective and existing customers to provide information about insurance options and identify potential opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, following up on inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Support the team with various administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
SCHEDULE
  • Part-time, Monday through Friday
  • Typical hours 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM, including a lunch break
  • This schedule supports work-life balance and is ideal for parents with school-aged children.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience in receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service roles.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging in customer conversations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM systems.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
Compensation $20.00 per hour
